Recently in September I traveled to Italy, to explore Milano in 2 Days. When I visit a new country or city I have never been to, I usually don’t like most tourist spots. Therefore I’m always looking for something in a city which is not as crowded as the most famous places.
DAY 1 – EXPLORE MILANO & MODERN STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
I didn’t plan anything for the first day, I just started walking from the main train Station. And tried to do some street photography. I was thinking about the old buildings and in general what you hear about Italy’s streets. But on the way to the centre, I found the business district with a lot of great architecture. Therefore it was a must for me to take photos of these great buildings.
DAY 2 – WELL-KNOWN SIGHTS & SOCIAL ANXIETY
On the second day, I made it to the well-known sights. It already had way too many people on a Wednesday. Possibly the fashion show that took place also influenced the number of people in the city.
Nevertheless, I found my way to the sights, although nothing convinced me. Are just tourist attractions.
Towards evening I wanted to go out for dinner, so I once again encountered my social anxiety. I knew that I wanted to go to a restaurant to eat a pizza if I’m already in Italy. But going to a restaurant alone is difficult enough, doing so in a country I don’t know and whose language I don’t speak made this an almost insurmountable task.
I walked around the city for about 1 1/2 hours to finally muster up my courage and head for a restaurant. The lady at the restaurant welcomed me and asked me to follow her. Dejected and annoyed by the social anxiety that I had once again taken so long to gather my courage, I followed the lady. The disaster took its course.
She gave me a seat in the far corner of the room. Sometimes I almost have the feeling that individuals are always put in the corner of the restaurant to be ashamed and to think about why they are here. Be that as it may. So I sit down since I didn’t dare to ask for another seat anyway. Opposite me was a mirror. Accordingly, I had to watch myself while eating and the pizza did not convince me either! An evening for the ton.
But at least I had at least a pizza in an Italian restaurant…
I DONT LIKE ITALY?
I have to say that Italy is still the ugliest country I have visited. Every time I visited Italy the one thing that stayed in my mind was the ugly, disgusting smell at every corner of the cities and the huge amount of trash in nature. It is just sad and disgusting that it is possible to destroy nature like that. And I’m not talking about a little bit of trash here and there. You will find the trash at every corner. And I’m also not only talking about Milano, but I have also visited Sardinia, Roma, and Pisa and on a road trip through the north of Italy a lot of other places outside the big cities and it is almost at every place in Italy the same. If I have to give an award for the most disgusting and ugly country I have visited so far it would be definitely Italy without any doubt. But at least, in general, the food is good.
In March 2022 i went to Sardinia for a Roadtrip with a friend, check out how it went.
